New painting I'm working on

I haven't painted in quite a while but I've felt compelled to start this one. This face has been haunting me in my dreams for the past few weeks. Maybe it's the little miss no name doll that's facing me on the other side of my bedroom... Yeah, I'm quite sure that's the reason.

I'm going to try this again...

I started making this doll about 2 months ago then got side tracked with my Brother's wedding.  So now I'm back to to the drawing board with this little one again. I was just going to change up the arms with this doll but I've decided to change the way I make the legs as well. This one's going to stand. You'll see why in due time.

The blushing bride and nervous groom.

                                 

Well here is the finished blushing bride and nervous groom. The most challenging part was creating the groom since I never created a guy doll before. I never had to work with making pants, shirts or a jacket so it was pretty tough but I managed to put something together. There are quite a few things that I have to look out for next time. Overall, it was a very fun and challenging learning process. Big congrats to my brother and beautiful bride!

Here is a closer look at the dress. I tried to model it off of the bride's dress. I couldn't get the top the exact same way but its pretty close.

The reason why I've been dormant

Hi everyone, I know its been a while but I've been working on two dolls on a pretty tight deadline. I don't want to give out too much info just yet, (just in case someone stumbles on it that shouldn't) but I will post progress shots and the finishing products.

My Art doll Quarterly feature, so excited!

I probably shouldn't be showing this yet, but I have a big mouth and I can't help but shout it off the roof tops. I just got an early copy of Artdoll quarterly magazine that I'll be featured in this May. She was part of a tiny doll challenge where the entries had to measure under 5". I made her at 4 3/4", now I'm just wondering when do they plan on mailing her back? Don't want to go down there, but I will if I have to lol!
