I'm Still working....

Here's how my latest doll is coming out so far. I've been using a few different techniques that I've found around the net such as Amanda DeVirgillo's blushing technique that can be found here: http://www.dollmakersdream.com/painting-polymer-clay.html.  She has a lot of useful information on her site so if you get a moment, take a look at her great advice and techniques there.

Another Small Peek!

Here's another small peek at the doll that I'm working on. I'm really, really liking the way she's beginning to look!

Back to Polymer Again

This is just a sneak peek of a doll that I am working on. I’ve changed clays again, so now I’m trying out Fimo which is a polymer clay. I was previously using Creative’s paper clay but got tired of the waiting for it to dry process. I originally started out using polymer but switched to papar clay because of a compatibility problem between the polymer clay and paint that I was using. The dolls that I made would stay sticky after painting them. Hopefully I won’t have that problem again, I like the way this one is starting to look.

Boo's new neighbors

Here's Boo with her new neighbors at MF Gallery's Annual toy show in Brooklyn. This marked my first public showing of one of my dolls in a gallery, I hope to be in many, many more! The show will be up until Dec.18th, I hope she sells.

All done here now on to the next!

I am finally done with this one. Second set of hands and first set of shoes, I'm very happy with the way they turned out. I think I'm going to try new things on each doll for now on to keep things a little more interesting and fun for me. I have quite a few ideas floating around for the next doll. Thanks for looking!
